ANSMANN ENERGY 8 CHARGING SYSTEM

In today’s modern environment, batteries of all sizes are in everyday use. To help eliminate the confusion that results with keeping all of these properly charged Ansmann's Energy 8 charging center for NiMh and NiCd cells is ideal.
The Energy 8 system charges one to 6 AA or AAA cells, or one to six C or D cells or any combination of AA/AAA/C/D cells plus up to four-9V NiMh or NiCd cells!
The microprocessor controlled Energy 8 system automatically tests each cell for condition and indicates the state of charge, automatically refreshes or discharges them, if necessary, then switches each cell to fast charge and when fully charged to a pulsed trickle charge. If any problems are detected during charging or if a cell is improperly installed an LED will indicate which cell has a problem!
The Energy 8 charges up to six 2700 mAh, NiMh AA cells to full charge in 3 hours! It operates on any current from 100 to 240V/50 to 60 Hz and automatically detects and switches to the proper voltage and current!
The charger also automatically supplies the proper battery charging current from 70 mAh to 9000 mAh depending on the type of cell being charged! It charges AA cells up to 3000 mAh so it won’t be outgrown by technology!

ANSMANN DIGISPEED 120/12V FAN COOLED HIGH SPEED CHARGER

Super fast charging of NiMh or NiCd batteries has presented a problem, up to now, as the high charging currents used generate heat and heat is a killer of batteries. To solve this problem Ansmann has air-conditioned their new Digispeed “Super Speed Charger”. How? By building in a fan that automatically turns on and off to keep the batteries at the proper temperature during the entire charge sequence!
The new palm sized (4.2 x 4.6 x 1.8”) Digispeed charger accepts up to four AA or AAA cells in any combination. Any number of batteries can be charged at one time and batteries can be added or removed from the charger at any time without affecting the charging of any other battery!
The Microprocessor controlled Digispeed charger works on either AC or 12V DC current with its supplied cords. It provides faulty cell detection, improper battery insertion or improper battery type inserted (alkaline). In these cases the charging cycle for that cell is instantly stopped and the LED for that cell flashes red. While charging the LED for the cell glows a steady red and upon conclusion of the rapid charge cycle the cell is switched to a delta V maintenance mode and the LED glows green. The charge cycle in each chamber turns off after several hours to prevent over charging.
The Digispeed automatically matches the charging current to each inserted cell. Maximum charge rate for AA NiMh cells is 1.75A! For AAA NiMh cells the maximum charge rate is 750MA! Thus one hour charging of many cells is easily possible and even with the very high capacity 2700 mAh Ansmann cells full charge for a flat cell is no more than 90 minutes!
The Digispeed can be used for either one to four AA or AAA NiMh cells or one to four NiCd AA or AAA cells at the same time. A simple slide switch on the front switches between NiMh and NiCd. This is necessary to select the proper charge current for the battery type being charged. NiMH AA cells are charged at 1.75A while NiCd AA cells are charged at 700ma. AAA NiMh cells are charged at 750 mA and AAA NiCd cells at 300mA Thus each type of cell is optimally charged in the shortest possible time without danger of damage to the cell thanks to the smart circuitry and the built-in cooling fan!
The Digispeed charger is packaged with cords for USA 120V AC and 12V car charging and with four Ansmann NiMh 2200 mAh cells, the largest size currently available! The Digispeed carries a 3-year Ansmann warranty!

ANSMANN POWERLINE 4 TRAVELER CHARGER SYSTEM

The Ansmann Powerline 4 Traveler microprocessor controlled charger accepts 1 to 4 AA or AAA cells, NiMh or NiCd, in any quantity or order without setting switches or adding adapters! Each battery compartment on the Powerline 4 has two sets of contacts, one for AA and one for AAA cells. Each compartment is an individually monitored microprocessor controlled charging chamber with an LED that constantly indicates the status of the installed cell!

Batteries can be charged in any combination (pairs ARE NOT required) so each battery is fully charged regardless of the condition of any other battery in the charger! (Many battery chargers that require pairs of cells stop the charge cycle when the first of the pair is fully charged - even if the second is not at full charge)!

The Ansmann Powerline 4 Traveler charger operates on any voltage from 100 to 240V 50/60 Hz and it automatically selects the proper operating voltage/current upon being plugged into the outlet! The Traveler is supplied with four wall plugs; one each for US, UK, EU and AUS which snap in and out at the touch of the button on the rear of the charger. When packing for travel the plug can be removed so there are no sharp protrusions to damage the contents of the suitcase!

When cells are inserted into the Powerline charger they are first tested for 2 minutes to determine the condition of the cell. While this is happening a red LED is constantly on (it remains on as long as any cells are in the charger). After 2 minutes a green LED that corresponds to the chamber the battery is inserted in will blink rapidly if a cell is faulty. Blink slowly if the cell is in good condition while it is being rapid charged or stay of if the cell is inserted backwards. (a cell inserted incorrectly will not be damaged or damage the charger)!

The Powerline series will fully charge any AA or AAA NiMh or NiCd cell up to 2700 mAh in 3 to 3.5 hours. As each cell reaches full charge its LED will glow a steady green and that compartment will automatically switch to a maintenance mode to maintain the battery at peak charge with no danger of overcharging. At all times the Ansmann chargers operate at very low temperature to prevent heat damage to the cells. Regardless of the state of charge of the inserted batteries additional cells may be added at any time without disturbing the charge of already inserted cells!

The Powerline 4 Traveler has an automatic discharge button which will discharge inserted cells, under the proper load, and automatically test and charge them when they have reached the proper discharge point! This feature is a requirement to avoid memory effect with NiCd cells and to condition NiMh cells so the cells output their maximum capacity all of the time!

While discharging the LEDs blink in reverse order during the discharge process so the user is aware of the state of the charger!

The Powerline 4 Traveler has a 200 mA charging current for AAA cells and charges fully a 600 mAh AAA NiMh cell in 3.5 hours. For AA cells the Powerline 4 has a charging current of 700 mA and charges an 2700 mAh AA NiMh cell in 3.5 hours. Both AA and AAA cells can be charged simultaneously! These times are for fully discharged cells.

The Powerline Traveler is packaged complete with 4 Ansmann 2200 mAh NiMh AA cells.

The Ansmann Powerline 6 charger accepts up to 6 AA or AAA NiMh or NiCd cells for those who need to charge more then 4 cells rapidly. Like the Powerline 4 Traveler it operates on any voltage from 100 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz and it also auto switches to the current it is being used on. Unlike the Traveler it is a desktop unit and uses a standard shaver cord. While supplied in the US with the US plug other plug adapters from electronic stores can be used to convert the cord for operation in other countries. Or users can simply pick up the proper shaver cord wherever they are traveling.

The Powerline 6 has the same features as the Powerline 4 Traveler and has a 200 mA charging current for AAA cells and 450 mA for AA cells. Maximum charge time for 1800 mAh AA cells is 5 hours for a fully discharged cell.

The Powerline 4 Traveler measures 4.7 x 2 x 2.6" (without a plug inserted) and weighs 8 oz. The Powerline 6 measures 6.6 x 2.7 x 1.7" and weighs 10 oz.

Ansmann supplies high capacity NiMh cells in AA 2200 and 2700 mAh sizes for continuous, heavy duty applications. The Ansmann cells typically will deliver a greater capacity then similar or larger sized cells from other manufacturers.

Ansmann Battery boxes are the perfect solution for organizing all those AA and AAA cells!. The clear plastic Ansmann box has 8 compartments for batteries and a dovetail fitting allows boxes to be stacked together when larger quantities are to be stored. The hinged cover has an opening at one end to allow proper ventilation of rechargeable cells.

The box is just the right size to fit any pocket, purse or pouch case and comes with a set of labels so each compartment can be fully identified as to contents.
