Japanese company Toyota plans to issue its own digital currency. Experts from the IT department of giant Toyota Systems will be involved in token development.

RBC specifies that the crypt currency will be created in partnership with the DeCurrent team. Toyota employees will take part in the coin trials.

It should be noted that the Japanese giant has been interested in block technology for the past few years. In March 2020, Toyota announced the creation of its own laboratory specialising in the launch of blockage services.

Toyota Systems’ management expects to use digital currency in internal transactions. The 2,500 employees participating in the test will receive tokens in their wallets and will be able to exchange them for various prizes.

If the innovative tool is tested successfully, the Japanese giant may allow it to be used for payment and settlement purposes.
